Diedre Von is a writer, art director, brand strategist, and creative project manager based in Washington, D.C., with 15 years of experience in the marketing and communications industry. She has worked for media and entertainment companies, including NBCUniversal, Focus Features, and AFI DOCS. Diedre's role as a producer on the short film "Yasin" earned recognition at festivals such as the Berlin International Film Festival, Dubai International Film Festival, and Palm Springs International Film Festival. Additionally, her short film "Back of the Bus" won the narrative award at the UCLA Shorttakes Film Festival. She earned a BA in journalism from Hampton University, with a minor in leadership studies, and an MFA in film and television production from the University of Southern California.

Based in Baltimore, Alma Davenport is an award-winning playwright, director, producer, teaching artist, and arts administrator. As the artistic director of the Strand Theatre, she champions women's voices. She was the founding artistic and producing director of Brown Soul Productions, a Seattle-based organization dedicated to developing and producing new creative work by women of color. She is a graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. She holds a BFA in dramatic writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA in arts leadership from Seattle University. Her work has received several honors, including the Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award, the Goldberg Award for Dramatic Writing, the Horowitz Playwriting Award, and the Gwendolyn Brooks Poetry Award.
